Voted “Shoe Most Likely to Need Hosing Off”, the Grand National is a Fluevog icon. The open lacing, the cloven heel - this is the shoe fetishists pined for during the dark non-Grand National years. There are rumours about a lost mould, but at the end of ‘04, it returned and it was grand.
The reunion tour had four members – the classic black knee-high, the shoe, the corsetry-laced mid-calf and the red pony knee-high. The shoe was for people too cheap for the knee-high. The corsetry-laced was for anyone who enjoys looking like a particularly well-netted tuna. The red pony was for those who wear both smokey eyes and dark lips. The classic black knee-high was the way to go. This is the boot for family reunions, church socials and work functions. This is the boot that warns “No, you don’t want to ask me about my personal life, my answers would break your mind.”
And if you haven’t bought it already, you may be out of luck. It’s back in the Flueseum on the site, and the stores are running low. Have you seen it still available anywhere?
Verdict: I wouldn’t marry this shoe, but I’d have wild sex with it in the basement at my grandparents’ house.

I am being married in these boots! I bought a pair last summer, they are still in the box and will not leave the box till the day of my wedding, October 12th, 2008. Coz if I take them out of the box I will not take them off, ever!

i am desperately looking for a pair of grand nationals in red pony. i am usually a 7 or 7 1/2 in shoes, im not sure how these run. i could be slightly flexible with the sizing…….pretty please someone sell them to me!

this week on ebay i’m gonna sell a pair from their origin year. size either 6-1/2 or 7, i bought em for me but didnt wear em. having gandered my way thru a passel o’horse genetics & the photos involved, i would put the color somewhere between sorrel & roan. they are not red, they are not black, they are not demonia, they are fluevog.
i havent seen this color advertised, but this may be cos i am dating these to their inception, not its remake. i was wondering if anyone knows where i can find the actual name of this color as JF described it? they arent re-dyed. o/w, if anyone is interested, up they go probably tomorrow evening.

theyre still available. they are going up tomorrow. i shot the photos today. they are a dark brown leather w/ a red undrtone & a darker brown>black heel. they are also lined in a cream colored leather. they have never been worn. they were tired on once or twice. they are great.

I was just wondering if anybody knows do these shoes run true to size?
They do fit a tiny bit snug, but I believe it depends on the shape of your foot. I find the toe space is not too bad of a fit, yet I have to completely loosen and open the laces to be able to get the height of my foot into them. Once they are on they’re not too bad, but a tiny bit tight just at the top of the foot….so yes, they are a little small and it’s good to find a 1/2 size up if they’re available. Hopefully this helps you in your quest!

I have a black pair of classic knee highs, size 9 if anyone out there is keen to buy. They have been worn maybe 10 times and I had them double souled at the back/heel tips and front toe tip so that they wouldn’t wear through! Amazing boots! they are really good condition except that 4 single hooks are slightly rusty (you cant notice unless you are super close) located in little old New Zealand, I can post them anywhere. was thinking 350 but best offer!
